Virgin River is one of Netflix’s ultimate comfort shows, and its next season is bringing many epic moments our way. The streaming giant teased Season 6 with a brand new trailer, which sees Mel and Jack getting ready to finally walk down the aisle.
Virgin River centers on Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a big-city midwife and nurse practitioner, who decided to move to a small town in Northern California while looking for a fresh start. She quickly learns that small-town life is anything but peaceful, realizing something unexpected awaits her at every turn.
Mel’s relationship with a local bar owner and army veteran Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) is one of the center points of Virgin River, and the new trailer tases their wedding day. According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, they’ve been planning this storyline for quite some time, and they can’t wait to share it with the fans.
“We’re trying to hit all the milestones of the pre-wedding planning, the bachelor and bachelorette parties, the rehearsal dinner. I knew this season needed to be the wedding season. It was time. It felt like a great event to build around, so everybody had as much forethought and time to plan as possible,” he told Tudum.
