We can count on Netflix to start plotting a spin-off of every show that finds enormous success with their viewers, and they have a few more on the way. Bloomberg reports they’re currently developing spin-offs of Wednesday and Peaky Blinders, and here’s everything we know about these projects.
“Wednesday” Uncle Fester Spin-Off
Netflix has given us one of its biggest hits with The Addams Family reimagining Wednesday, and they’re eager to build off its success. According to Bloomberg, the streamer is plotting a series that centers on Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen in the original series. This show is yet to get a green light because the streamer first has to negotiate contracts with talent.
“Peaky Blinders” Boston Spin-Off
The original Peaky Blinders centered on the criminal Shelby gang, which wreaked havoc in Birmingham in the wake of the First World War. This sequel would be set in Boston during the middle of the 20th century, and plot details are being kept under wraps.
“Peaky Blinders” Polly Spin-Off
Peaky Blinders gave us one of its most compelling characters with Polly Gray, the matriarch of the Shelby family. She was absent in the show’s final season after the actress Helen McCrory tragically passed away, but Netflix is reportedly plotting a spin-off that puts this character front and center.
