There is sex after thirty.

Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes helped us navigate our sex lives during the ‘90s as the girlfriends we never had in Sex and the City.

The quartet, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, embodied the characters created by Candace Bushnell in her book-turned-television-series.

Now, Bushnell has written a new book, which is in development for the screen.

The follow-up novel, entitled Is There Still Sex in the City?, reframes relationships by examining life after 50 in New York City and the sex, dating, divorces, children, friendships, and pressure women face to retain their youth.

“The original Sex and the City book and series served as a groundbreaking touchstone for an entire generation of women, myself included,” said President of Paramount TV, Nicole Clemens.

“We’re thrilled to be able to continue that conversation from the underrepresented point of view of women in their 50s and answer the question with: Yes! There is more sex in the city!”

Bushnell will write the pilot script and serve as an executive producer.

Get the cosmos ready!
