“Westworld” Fans Can Expect a Shorter Season

The next season of Westworld will be delivered in a far more compact package.

To date, there have been 20 episodes of the HBO series that revolves around the guests and robotic hosts of a western theme park.

However, when the show returns for its third season next year, it will include only eight episodes as opposed to the usual ten.

According to TheWrap, which first reported the news, it is possible that Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy could be extending the length of the episodes a la David Benioff and D.B. Weiss with Game of Thrones.

The pair are set to remain hands-on when it comes to Westworld, despite having signed a new overall deal with Amazon Studios.

The series, which is based on the 1973 film of the same name, is expected to return during the first half of 2020, although no premiere date has been announced as yet.
