Where Everyone Ended Up in the “Bojack Horseman” Finale

Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris, and Rami Malek in "BoJack Horseman"

After six fantastic seasons, Bojack Horseman has finally come to an end. Here’s a look at where each of the recurring characters ended up in the season six finale.

Princess Carolyn

Against all odds, Princess Carolyn is happily wed to her assistant by the end of season six. She is still a workaholic, but it seems like she has finally found some work-life balance. She has her own business, a husband who loves her, and her own child. She essentially gets everything she has desperately wanted since the very first episode.

Mr. Peanutbutter

Mr. Peanutbutter is a lovable narcissist who has been one of the most irritatingly fantastic characters since the start of the show. In the final episode, he has a brief heart-to-heart with Bojack, during which he shows signs of genuine and authentic self-reflection and character growth. More importantly, he still remains one of Hollywoob’s most beloved TV personalities.

Todd

In season six, Bojack introduces Todd to his asexual girlfriend. In the final episodes, Todd moves into his own apartment with his girlfriend and finally makes peace with his mother. His character arc is completed, and after everything Bojack has put him through, Todd gets the ending that he deserves.

Dianne

Dianne’s character arc is arguably the most interesting. After seasons of battling depression and hopelessness, she finally takes the step towards looking after her mental health and going on anti-depressants. She writes her book, gets engaged, and has the courage to accept that her time in Hollywoob is over. She tells Bojack she is grateful to him for what he has taught her, but ultimately she admits she has moved on.

Bojack Horseman

Finally, our anti-hero protagonist finishes the season doing time in prison for the mistakes he has made. In the final moments of the final episode, he realizes he has lost his friends and once again, he is alone. Nonetheless, Princess Carolyn hints that his career following his prison sentence is looking brighter than ever thanks to the fact Hollywoob has a short memory. There could be no more fitting ending for the character we have been rooting for but simultaneously hating since episode one.
