Normal People is one of the most beloved series from 2020, and it just marked its fourth anniversary. Its cast went on to do great things since the acclaimed adaptation of Sally Rooney’s seminal novel first came out, and here’s where they are today.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

Daisy Edgar-Jones got her big break with the role of Marianne Sheridan, and went on to lead films Fresh and Where the Crawdads Sing in the wake of its success. She also appeared in Hulu’s mini-series Under the Banner of Heaven, and will next be seen in Twisters.

Paul Mescal

Paul Mescal received an Emmy nomination for his breakout role in Normal People, and his star kept on rising. His emotionally charged lead turn in Aftersun earned him his first Oscar nomination, and he also received acclaim for his roles in All of Us Strangers and God’s Creatures. He has several high-profile projects on the way, most notably Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2.

Sarah Greene

Sarah Greene, who played Connell’s single mother, Lorraine, has also been up to great things since Normal People first hit our screens. She led the black comedy Bad Sisters alongside Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, and Eve Hewson, and we’ve recently seen her in the Paramount+ crime drama Se-y Beast.
