A new photo hints that the new season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina could cross over with Riverdale.
The teenage witch drama is set in a town called Greendale. Meanwhile, Buffy the Vampire Slayer lives in Sunnydale and the cast of Riverdale… well, that’s a given. Greendale actually exists in the same comicverse as Riverdale, which is located just across the river from where the majority of the action in “Sabrina” takes place. So is a crossover on the cards?
A new behind the scenes photo posted by Robert Aguirre-Sacasa suggests that yes, a crossover may just happen in S3. The showrunner posted a photo of Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), Roz Walker (Jaz Sinclair), and Theo Putnam’s (Lachlan Watson) band “Fright Club.”
In the caption, he wrote: “So it’s @RossLynch birthday today, and I love this kid so damn much, and Part 3 of #Sabrinanetflix is premiering in less than a month, so here’s a BTS shot of the best garage band since the Archies! Happy b-day, Ross!!”
Fans now seem to think that The Archies will be making an appearance on S4 of Riverdale and that this could lead to a crossover between the two shows.
One fan wrote: “Correct if I’m wrong or just misheard but did you not say that we were going to get see ‘The Archies’ in season 4 of Riverdale?”
It is certainly a possibility, but nothing has yet been confirmed.
Riverdale S4 will be released October 9 and S3 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is also due to land on Netflix later this year.
