Disney+ is busy plotting the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again, and its cast is shaping up to be a true blast from the past. Wilson Bethel is officially coming back as Bullseye, becoming the latest cast member of Netflix’s Daredevil to return in this series.

Bethel previously played Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye on Netflix’s Daredevil, and he’ll feel right at home on the set of Disney’s new show. Many of the original cast members are set to come back, including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson.

Disney+ recast most of the old ensemble once Daredevil: Born Again underwent a major creative overhaul after pausing the production due to a writers’ strike. Six episodes have already been filmed before Disney+ hired Dario Scardapane to revamp the series.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of streaming, television, and animation, discussed the creative overhaul with The Hollywood Reporter and explained why they decided to go in a new direction.

“We’re trying to marry the Marvel culture with the traditional television culture. It comes down to, ‘How can we tell stories on television that honor what’s so great about the source material?’ We need executives that are dedicated to this medium,” said Winderbaum.
