Many beloved 2000s shows made an epic comeback in recent years, and Wizards of Waverly Place is the next one in line! Disney ordered a pilot for the potential follow-up series, with Selena Gomez and David Henrie set to return as Alex and Justin Russo.

The sequel series will center on the adult Justin Russo, who opted to have a normal, human life with his wife and kids after leaving his wizard powers behind. His life turns upside down when a powerful young wizard shows up at his door asking for help, forcing him to embrace his past to protect the future of the Wizard World.

David Henrie will serve as the series regular in this revival, while Gomez will guest star and serve as one of the executive producers. Janice LeAnn Brown (Just Roll with It) will lead the series in the role of the young wizard Billie, and she’ll be joined by Alkaio Thiele (Call Me Kat) as Justin’s son Roman and Mimi Gianopulos (American Princess) as his wife Giada.

Wizards of Waverly Place aired on Disney Channel for four seasons between 2007 and 2012, and it centered on the teen wizard Alex Russo (Gomez), trying to keep her magical powers a secret while training alongside her siblings to become the next family wizard.
