Wynonna Earp will fight another day.

Fans can rejoice because the series about the supernatural being slayer has been rescued from its financial troubles.

Despite SyFy ordering a fourth and fifth season of the show, funding issues faced by production company IDW meant that the fourth instalment has been heavily delayed.

But thanks to a partnership with Cineflix Studios who will now co-produce, the Western is back on course.

“We are absolutely thrilled that we get to make more Wynonna Earp, and are grateful to our networks and partners for working hard to ensure we can,” showrunner Emily Andras said in a statement. “This is an enormous testament to our passionate and fierce fans, the Earpers, who remind us every day how to fight like hell for the things you love with wit, ferocity and kindness.”

SyFy confirmed the good news, stating that the network never wavered in its support for the series and thanked fans for their patience.

Production on the fourth season of Wynonna Earp is set to begin later this summer ahead of a 2020 release.
