Young Sheldon is slowly coming to an end, but some of its characters will continue their journey after the series finale. CBS is plotting a new spin-off series about Georgie and Mandy, starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment.

Created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland, this untitled project will mark the third show set in The Big Bang Theory universe. This promising spin-off will see Georgie and Mandy trying to raise their family in Texas, and it’s expected to premiere during the 2024-2025 broadcast season.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said it’s been a privilege to spend the last seven years with Sheldon and the Cooper family and added they’re looking forward to continuing this wonderful journey with Georgie and Mandy.

“Chuck and both Steves have done a masterful job developing these characters and entertaining generations of fans with relatable, heartwarming stories brought to life by Montana and Emily. We eagerly look forward to the next chapter in this beloved universe,” said Reisenbach in a statement.

Young Sheldon will conclude with its seventh season, which will end its run on May 16.  In addition to Jordan and Osment, the original series also starred Iain Armitage as Sheldon Cooper, Zoe Perry and Lance Barber as his parents, and Raegan Revord as his twin sister Missy.
