Yvette Nicole Brown will be temporarily replacing Chris Hardwick on Talking Dead.

An AMC spokesperson said: “Yvette Nicole Brown will step in as an interim guest host of The Walking Dead Season 9 Preview Special on August 5 and Talking Dead when it returns following the premiere of Fear the Walking Dead on August 12, as we work to complete our assessment related to Chris Hardwick.”

The replacement was deemed necessary by AMC and Hardwick himself after he was accused on emotional and sexual abuse during his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra.

AMC previously said in a statement: “We have had a positive working relationship with Chris Hardwick for many years. We take the troubling allegations that surfaced yesterday very seriously.

“While we assess the situation, Talking with Chris Hardwick will not air on AMC, and Chris has decided to step aside from moderating planned AMC and BBC America panels at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month.”

Brown is a popular guest on Talking Dead and is looking forward to hosting the show. She is best known for playing Shirley Bennett on sitcom Community and claims to be a big fan of The Walking Dead.
