Every time we think Only Murders in the Building finally rounded out its Season 4 cast, another amazing actor hops on board. Zach Galifianakis is the latest star to join the star-studded Season 4 cast of Hulu’s hit comedy series with a murder mystery twist.
The fourth season will see Charles (Steve Martin), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Oliver (Martin Short) trying to solve the mysterious murder of Charles’ stunt double Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). Plot details are being kept under wraps, but we know that our favorite crime-solving trio will take a brief detour to Los Angeles before returning to New York.
Galifianakis joined the cast in an undisclosed recurring role, and his character will be integral to the Season 4 investigation. Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Molly Shannon (The White Lotus), and Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) have also been added to the ensemble in recent weeks, while Meryl Streep agreed to reprise her role from Season 3.
Only Murders in the Building will mark Galifianakis’ first major TV role since his FX dramedy Baskets ended its run in 2019. He scored an acting Primetime Emmy nomination for his role in this series, but he’s already a receipt of two Creative Arts Emmys for his short-form talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis.
