“One second I’m getting an MRI, and the next second, people are singing to me!” says Jane Levy’s Zoey in the video.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist will be released on NBC this January.
The series is about computer programmer Zoey, who, after experiencing an unusual occurrence in an MRI machine, begins to hear people’s inner thoughts and feelings through popular songs. Upon hearing these songs, Zoey thinks something is wrong with her, but with the help of her neighbor Mo, she reconnects with her sick father and she begins to appreciate her new abilities and she has a new appreciation for the world around her.
The popular songs featured in the first look video include Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker,” The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” and DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.”
Also in the series are Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Peter Gallagher, and Mary Steenburgen.
