Laurence Fishburne leads the series as famed coach Doc Rivers, along with Ed O’Neill as the erratic former Clippers owner Donald Sterling. One Hundred Years of Solitude centers on José Arcadio Buendía and Úrsula Iguarán, who left home after being married against their parents’ wishes, and started a new life in the utopian town of Macondo.

“Several generations of the Buendía lineage will mark the future of this mythical town, tormented by madness, impossible loves, a bloody and absurd war, and the fear of a terrible curse that condemns them, without hope, to one hundred years of solitude,” reads Netflix’s official synopsis.

One Hundred Years of Solitude was written by José Rivera, Natalia Santa, Camila Brugés, María Camila Arias, and Albatrós González, and it’s one of Netflix’s most ambitious Spanish-language series to date. They’ve been plotting it since 2019, when they reached a deal with Gabriel García Márquez’s family to adapt the novel.

One Hundred Years of Solitude will feature a total of 16 episodes, directed by Alex García López and Laura Mora, set to premiere on Netflix later this year.

Based on Jeff Lemire’s comic book series of the same name, Sweet Tooth centers on the 10-year-old part-deer boy Gus, searching for his mother in a post-pandemic world affected by a mysterious disease that led to the collapse of society and the emergence of hybrids born with animal traits.

Season 3 will see Gus continue his journey with his friends across the perilous terrains of Alaska.
