Season 7 will kick off with the episode “Common People”, starring Chris O’Dowd, Rashida Jones, and Tracee Ellis Ross. It will center on a desperate husband who decides to sign up for a high-tech medical system Rivermind, in an attempt to keep his wife alive.

The first full trailer was unveiled at the SXSW, and the cast and crew of The Last of Us dropped some hints about the show’s next chapter while attending the festival. Co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann promised that the best is yet to come because there’s a lot of crazy stuff we haven’t seen in the trailer.

“It’s crazier – it’s a wild roller coaster ride. That world is louder, and it is more dangerous, and we have dug in. And, honestly, I think, if we don’t get canceled, next season will be even bigger,” said Mazin at SXSW.

His old vigilante identity starts to emerge after he finds himself on an inevitable collision course with the former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), who’s pursing his own political endeavors in New York.

The new trailer marks the reunion between Murdock and Fisk, who are chatting over a cup of coffee at the start of the clip. “I will admit, it’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again,” says Fisk before reminiscing about the past and asking Murdock why he’s no longer fighting for justice as a vigilante.

Leo Woodall (One Day) and Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets) lead the cast of this limited series, and they’ll be in pretty good company. The supporting cast includes Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee, and Joseph Mydell.

Prime Target was created for Apple TV+ by the Sherlock writer Steve Thompson, while Top Boy director Brady Hood helmed the series. The first two episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ on January 22, while the remaining six will debut on a weekly basis until the finale on March 5.

The crossover episode in question will be titled “Volunteers” and it will air on January 8, 2025. According to its official logline, it will see the school principal Ava announcing that the district is sending a group of volunteers to help out teachers at Abbott, but things don’t go exactly as planned when they arrive.

That doesn’t come as a huge shocker, since the volunteers in question happen to be the chaotic gang from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The first promo clip teases the appearance of Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Kaitlin Olson, and wraps up with a hilarious interaction between Danny DeVito’s Frank and William Stanford Davis’ Mr. Johnson.

The idea for this crossover came together pretty organically after Abbott’s Quinta Brunson and Always Sunny’s Rob McElhenney linked up, and she believes it feels pretty natural despite the shows’ different vibes.

“We saw a world in which we could bring our shows together since they are both in Philadelphia. It was really simple and people are confused, but I think it works really well and it helps that we’re all under the Disney umbrella, so it hasn’t been as painful as it could have been,” Brunson told People.

This half-hour comedy series draws inspiration from the ESPN+ series Eli’s Places starring Peyton and Eli Manning. They’re executive producing it through their company Omaha Productions, along with Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN. Powell and Michael Waldron serve as co-creators of this series, and they’re also coming on board as EPs through their respective companies Barnstorm Productions and Anomaly Pictures.

In addition to Powell in the titular role, Chad Powers will also star Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. The new teaser also confirms the return of Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, dispelling the rumors that she wouldn’t be returning for another season. It premiered on December 25 after this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special “Joy to the World”, which stars the Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan.

Doctor Who will return to BBC and Disney+ next year and its release date is yet to be announced.
