CBC bosses have been pretty busy mapping up their slate for the next season, and one beloved show failed to make the cut. The Canadian sitcom Run the Burbs led by Andrew Pham has officially been canceled after three seasons.

Run the Burbs centers on a young Canadian family with a different approach to living life to the fullest in the suburbs. Andrew Pham is a suburban stay-at-home dad taking care of his two children while his wife Camille pursues a successful career as an entrepreneur.

Andrew Phung co-created this series for CBS alongside Scott Townend and led its cast, which also included Rahkee Morzaria, Zoriah Wong, and Roman Pesino.

Season 3 of Run the Burbs ended its run earlier this month, and Phung announced that CBC won’t be moving forward with Season 4. He also said it was an absolute joy to make this show with the rest of its cast and crew and added he’s proud of what they’ve accomplished.

“We set out to make a funny, heartfelt, high-energy show about the suburbs and the families that make them great. Three years later, we are so proud to have made one of the most diverse and culturally specific comedies to ever come out of this country,” he wrote on Instagram.

After four seasons on NBC, Law & Order: Organized Crime has found a new home. Dick Wolf’s Law & Order spin-off is officially coming back for its fifth season, which will premiere on the streaming service Peacock instead of NBC.

Organized Crime reunited us with Christopher Meloni’s fan-favorite character Elliot Stabler from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. His retirement comes to an end following his wife’s murder and he decides to join the NYPD and work under Sergeant Ayanna Bell’s command in the hope he’ll find the killer.

In addition to Meloni in the lead role, the cast of Organized Crime also includes Danielle Moné Truitt, Tamara Taylor, Ainsley Seiger, Dylan McDermott, Nona Parker-Johnson, Brent Antonello, and Rick Gonzalez.

NBC didn’t explain their decision to move Organized Crime to their streaming service Peacock, but ratings probably came into play. This series performed below the other Wolf dramas on NBC while doing pretty well on Peacock, most likely because it embraced a darker tone and serialized storytelling that’s not characteristic of other shows in the franchise.

Law & Order: Organized Crime will stream exclusively on Peacock when it comes back for Season 5 after the streamer gave it a 10-episode order.

Presumed Innocent is one of the most promising new series coming to Apple TV+ this spring, and it will premiere earlier than expected. The streaming giant moved up the release date of this star-studded series, led and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Presumed Innocent is based on Scott Turow’s book which inspired the Harrison Ford-led 1990 adaptation, and it was created for Apple TV+ by David E. Kelley. It was supposed to premiere on June 14, but the streamer moved up its release date to June 12, just three days after its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival.

Presumed Innocent will explore the power and limits of love through the tale of Rusty Sabich, who’s trying to hold his family and marriage together after becoming the prime suspect in the murder of one of his colleagues.

“Starring Gyllenhaal in the lead role of chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, the series takes viewers on a gripping journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of the crime,” reads the streamer’s official logline.

In addition to Gyllenhaal in the lead role, this legal drama will also star Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, Lily Rabe, and Renate Reinsve.

The second season of Wednesday has been a long time coming, and the more we learn about it—the more excited we are! The Season 2 cast is shaping up to be amazing, and Thandiwe Newton is the latest actress joining Jenna Ortega for the next chapter of this story.

Wednesday premiered on Netflix back in 2022 and became a huge pop-culture phenomenon and the streamer’s second-most-watched English-language series in history. It chronicled the adventures of the teenage Wednesday Addams during her time at Nevermore Academy, and it’s safe to assume that the class will be back in session in Season 2.

Newton will play a mystery character in the show’s next season, but she isn’t the first notable star to join Wednesday in recent weeks. Hollywood veteran Steve Buscemi will also be a part of the Season 2 cast, and it’s rumored he’ll play the new principal of Nevermore Academy, replacing Gwendoline Christie.

Thandiwe Newton is best known as the star of HBO’s sci-fi series Westworld, which earned her three Emmy nominations for best supporting actress in a drama series during its run. Her recent credits include voice roles in Big Mouth and Human Resources and lead roles in thriller films God’s Country and All the Old Knives.

Most network shows had to cut their latest seasons short in the face of the dual strikes in Hollywood last year – and then there’s All American. The CW sports drama is getting an order for additional episodes ahead of Season 6, which will now feature 15 episodes.

All American is loosely based on the life of professional football player Spencer Paysinger, and it centers on a rising high school football star Spencer James. His world turns upside down when he’s recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, and his new life collides with his upbringing in the Crenshaw neighborhood in South Los Angeles.

Daniel Ezra leads the ensemble of this series, while the supporting cast includes Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Samantha Logan, Cody Christian, Karimah Westbrook, Monét Mazur, Chelsea Tavares, Michael Evans Behling, and Jalyn Hall.

The first five seasons of All American ranged between 16-20 episodes, and The CW will be able to stick to a similar number in Season 6. The upcoming season was initially supposed to feature 13 episodes, but the network decided to extend it to 15.

This decision makes total sense since The CW’s flagship drama is bringing many changes our way in Season 6. It will see Spencer James prepare for the next big step in his football career – the NFL draft.

Kim Kardashian is actively trying to break into Hollywood, and her next project just landed at Netflix after an intense bidding war. Kardashian will executive produce the high-profile coming-of-age series Calabasas alongside Emma Roberts and I. Marlene King.

Calabasas draws inspiration from Via Bleidner’s book If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous by Now from 2021. It centers on a 16-year-old sheltered Catholic schoolgirl, who finds herself struggling to fit in after being thrown into unfamiliar territory when she transfers to Calabasas High.

Pretty Little Liars creator I. Marlene King is coming on board as the writer and showrunner. This project came together after she pitched it to Alexandra Milchan, who’ll also be credited as one of the EPs alongside Kardashian, Roberts, King, Lauren Wagner, Sarah Preiss, and Matt Matruski.

According to Deadline, Calabasas was involved in an intense bidding war, which also included two other offers from major buyers, but Netflix managed to push them out.

Calabasas will reunite Kardashian with Emma Roberts after they starred by each other’s side in American Horror Story: Delicate. This isn’t her first project heading to Netflix – the streamer also secured the rights for The Fifth Wheel, the ensemble comedy that will serve as a star vehicle for Kardashian.

It’s been three years since We Are Lady Parts first premiered, and its return is finally on the horizon. Our favorite all-girl punk band will return in the second season of this British sitcom, set to debut on Channel 4 this May with several amazing guest stars.

We Are Lady Parts centers on a group of Muslim women who decided to form their own punk band and overcome many obstacles to find success. Anjana Vasan leads the cast as Amina, Lady Part’s new lead guitarist and a shy PhD student, who must adjust to being in the spotlight.

In addition to Vasan, We Are Lady Parts also stars Sarah Kameela Impey, Juliette Motamed, Faith Omole, Lucie Shorthouse, Aiysha Hart, Zaqi Ismail, and Shobu Kapoor. They’ll be joined by several amazing guest stars in Season 2, including the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and famous comedian and playwright Meera Syal.

The six-episode Season 2 will premiere on May 30, and its creator Nida Manzoor promises it will be bolder, sillier, darker, and deeper than the first chapter.

“In season two, we explore the interior lives of each of the women in more depth. Each of them facing new, existential challenges with all the silliness, pratfalls, and banter of season one. The music is bigger too – more wild original tunes, and dare I say it, even better covers,” said Manzoor in a statement to Deadline.

Apple TV+ took us to the depths of the universe with its series For All Mankind, and its crew will soon continue its space journey. The alternative history sci-fi drama is coming back for Season 5, and Apple TV+ also green-lit its spin-off series Star City.

For All Mankind is set in the alternative universe, where the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon and win the space race. Joel Kinnaman leads the show’s ensemble cast, which also includes Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Wrenn Schmidt, Sonya Walger, Edi Gathegi, and Toby Kebbell over the course of the first four seasons.

Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, confirmed the renewal of this hit series and praised its creative team for capturing global audiences through high-quality storytelling.

“With each new season, For All Mankind continues to build out a fascinating world and capture global audiences… There is so much to explore and, we along with our partners at Sony, can’t wait to dive into this next chapter of the engrossing For All Mankind universe,” said Cherniss in a statement.

Apple TV+ also ordered a spin-off titled Star City, which will tell the same story from behind the Iron Curtain, through the eyes of cosmonauts, engineers, and intelligence officers from the Soviet space program.

The cast of Wednesday is a true embarrassment of riches, and it will get even better in Season 3. Steve Buscemi, the Emmy-nominated star of Boardwalk Empire and Miracle Workers, will join Jenna Ortega in the second season of the hit Netflix series.

The Addams Family spin-off centers on the adventures of the teenage Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy. Her first term was quite eventful, and we’ve seen her try to put an end to a monstrous killing spree terrorizing a local town, while also getting to the bottom of a decades-long mystery involving her parents.

Jenna Ortega will be back in the titular role in Season 2 of Wednesday, which she previously described as “bigger” than the first and “action-packed”. Several Season 1 cast members would most likely join her in Season 2, including Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzman.

They’ll be joined by Steve Buscemi in an undisclosed role, but it’s been rumored he’ll play the new Nevermore Academy principal, replacing Gwendoline Christie. On the TV side, Buscemi is best known as the star of the HBO crime drama Boardwalk Empire, which earned him two Emmy nominations. He most recently starred in the TBS anthology comedy series Miracle Workers opposite Daniel Radcliffe.

Down Cemetery Road will center on Sarah Tucker (Wilson), who enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson) after a local girl in her neighborhood disappears in the aftermath of a house explosion in her quiet Oxford suburb.

Morwenna Banks, one of the Slow Horses writers, will serve as the lead writer on this project. She’s also executive producing it alongside Thompson, Herron, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash, while Natalie Bailey serves as lead director.

Jay Hunt, Apple TV+’s creative director for Europe, has high hopes for this project, especially after they managed to round out such an impressive cast.

Down Cemetery Road has all the hallmarks of Mick Herron’s funny and acerbic writing, and I’m delighted we will be bringing it to life for Apple TV+ with such a stellar cast.

Apple TV+ has given us one of its most acclaimed series in recent years with Slow Horses, and they’re now getting ready to adapt another book by Mick Herron. Down Cemetery Road is coming to this streaming service, with Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson in lead roles.

Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson will make it an unmissable companion piece for Slow Horses on our service,” said Hunt in a statement.
