“The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, bigger enemies, and wider terrors than ever before,” reads the show’s official logline.
The new teaser also confirms the return of Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, dispelling the rumors that she wouldn’t be returning for another season. It premiered on December 25 after this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special “Joy to the World”, which stars the Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan.
Doctor Who will return to BBC and Disney+ next year and its release date is yet to be announced.

]]>According to Deadline, Apple TV+ has landed this project “in a competitive situation” and not much is known about its plot at this point in time. Its title Bananas is reportedly a reference to the term “banana republic”, used to describe politically and economically unstable countries.
The five-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker David O. Russell is attached to direct and executive produce this series, which hails from writer and creator Carolina Paiz (Orange is the New Black).
Bananas will mark Ana De Armas’ English-language TV debut, but she’s no stranger to collaborating with some of Hollywood’s leading directors. She rose to prominence with roles in Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 and Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, and went on to star in No Time to Die, The Gray Man, Ghosted, and Blonde, which earned her an Oscar nomination.
Oscar Isaac had already led several acclaimed TV projects – he won an Emmy Award for Show Me a Hero and received acclaim for Scenes from a Marriage and Moon Knight. On the movie side, he’s best known as the star of Inside Llewyn Davis, Ex Machina, Dune, and the Star Wars franchise, and will next be seen in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.

The Beauty is based on the Image Comics series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and Murphy serves as its co-creator along with Matthew Hodgson. The second season of Wednesday was filmed throughout 2024 in Ireland, and it finally wrapped production this month. Netflix announced the happy news by sharing a photo of Jenna Ortega in character as Wednesday Addams, crossing her arms against a spooky backdrop, with her signature frown gracing her face.
Season 2 will also mark the return of supporting players Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday. ]]>The Beauty is set in a world where modern society is obsessed with outward beauty, and it begs the question, “What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day?”
“In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price,” reads the show’s official logline.
The Beauty is based on the Image Comics series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and Murphy serves as its co-creator along with Matthew Hodgson. The cast will include Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope, who’ll all be credited as executive producers alongside Murphy and Hodgson.
Rebecca Hall is the latest major star to join this project in a mystery role. She’s a BAFTA TV Award-winning actress, whose notable TV credits include Parade’s End, Tales from the Loop, and The Listeners. On the movie side, she starred in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Prestige, The Town, Iron Man 3, and the Godzilla franchise, in addition to directing the critically acclaimed period drama Passing.

]]>According to HBO’s official logline, DTF St. Louis chronicles “a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, that leads to one of them ending up dead.” When this series was first announced, it was supposed to be based on James Lasdun’s New Yorker article “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities, and a Lethal Sedation”, but that idea was eventually scrapped.
Steven Conrad serves as writer, showrunner, and director of this seven-episode series, in addition to executive producing it alongside Jason Bateman and David Harbour. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, Molly Allen, Bruce Terris, Michael Costigan, and Kristina Wenson are also coming on board as EPs.
Cardellini joined the project in the role of Carol, in one of her first major TV roles since Netflix’s black comedy Dead to Me ended its run. She’s a three-time Emmy nominee, whose notable TV credits also include roles in Mad Men, Freaks and Geeks, and Bloodline, and she’ll next be seen in Netflix’s star-studded dark comedy No Good Deed.

]]>Wednesday sees its titular heroine trying to find her footing at the Nevermore Academy, a private school for young misfits with special powers. While trying to master her emerging psychic abilities, she must also uncover the secrets of the small town of Jericho, which can be traced decades into her parents’ past.
The second season of Wednesday was filmed throughout 2024 in Ireland, and it finally wrapped production this month. Netflix announced the happy news by sharing a photo of Jenna Ortega in character as Wednesday Addams, crossing her arms against a spooky backdrop, with her signature frown gracing her face.
Season 2 will also mark the return of supporting players Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday. They’ll be joined by Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, Noah Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Lady Gaga in supporting roles.
Wednesday will return to Netflix in 2025, and the streaming giant is yet to announce its official release date.
